The salaries reflected above have been derived from placement records and job orders for both power and sail, reflected as an average, received by Fine Host LA within the past year and may change without notice. Salaries reflect increase with the size of the vessel. Variations occur with the amount of owner/guest use, specific qualifications required, and vessel itinerary.

    In addition to salary: It is customary that owners provide food, uniforms, transportation, and other onboard expenses such as laundry, soap, linens, ect. Health and dental insurance after a probationary period of 30 - 90 days is normal, as well as periodic performance evaluations for pay increases.

    Vacation and time off vary on a vessel's schedule, but 4 - 6 weeks paid holiday per year and a 5 - 6 day work week unless on charter is standard.

 
Take $50.00 off first time trips of two or more days. 
 
 
Provisioning Options:
 
Beverage costs are not included in provisioning fees listed below. Lists for beer, wine, spirits, water and soft drinks will be provided together with your provisions package. However, it is not possible to offer "standard" pricing or package costs for beverages as quantities required, value by item and brand selections vary too greatly.

Dinners Ashore
7 breakfasts, 7 lunches and daily snacks @ $22.00 - $26.00 per person/day

Split Provisions
7 breakfasts, 7 lunches & 4 dinners @ $26.00 - $30.00 per person/day

Full Provisions
7 breakfasts, 7 lunches and 7 dinners @ $31.00 - $35.00 per person/day


Harbour Market Provisioning
If hiring crew, you are responsible for supplying their provisions as well, so please consider your crew when calculating your food & beverage costs.

If you'd prefer to dine aboard, but would like to sample a few restaurants  for a couple of nights, choose "split provisions".

If you have a party of (4) and will be chartering for 7 nights, your costs will be calculated as follows:

(4) persons x $28.00 (split provisions) x (7) days = $784.00
